Three-Time State Champions
 Beadling United

June 5, 2008 - Congratulations to Coach Weston Hawley and the Beadling United U14 girls as they successfully defended for the second straight year their PA West State Cup.  Threepeat!, Threepeat! was the call as the team held off another skilled and determined challenger in FC Pittsburgh.  The team will return to Maine to  compete in the Region 1 championships later in June.  Beadling United is one of only three teams in Region 1 U14 age bracket to return to regionals for three straight years.   The team finished the PA West State Cup tallying 20 goals while allowing 2 scores.  Way to go team and best of luck at regionals!

April 26, 2008 - Beadling United finishes undefeated in the Region 1 directors league and moves on to Kirkwood, DE for the Director's League Semi-finals.  Over the weekend the United squad defeated the #10 nationally ranked Wall Wild Wombats on their home field 1-0 and followed that victory with a hard fought 1-1 tie with the #3 nationally ranked FC Penn Strikers.   Along with the Beadling U16 Inferno, this team is the first PA West girls team to make it to the region semi finals.  Coach Hawley was pleased to see the team finish 5-0-2 only allowing 3 goals while burying 17 in this top flight league.    Again, way to go ladies!!!

December, 2007 - Congratulations to the Beadling United girls finishing their PA West fall season unbeaten.  Confidence grew during the season as the team buried 24 goals while only allowing 3.  As their reward, Region 1 has invited the team to participate and compete in the elite Directors League this spring against the very best Region 1 has to offer.   The team and coaches will be tested against three state champions along with other state finalists and semi-finalists.

August, 2007 The two-time champion from PA West reload for another year of high-impact soccer. The veterans are joined by five new members that bring both quality and depth to the storied Beadling program. The team already knows how hard it is to win a state championship, but will again face strong competition this fall and spring looking to knock the defending champions off the mountain. Best of luck champs!!
June 3 (Turner Valley, PA) We're headed for Maine!!!! That was the cry as the Beadling U13 Girls successfully defended their state title for a berth in the Region 1 Championship tournament in Portland, Maine later this month. Like last year's final, the Beadling squad faced a determined and skilled adversary and held off the Stars United squad for a 2-1 victory. Way to go Champs!!!!!

May 20 (Slippery Rock, PA) The Beadling U13 Girls are headed back the the PA West Soccer State Semi-Finals to defend their 2006 Championship after finishing 3-0 over the weekend at Slippery Rock. The team blanked Foothills 3-0 on Saturday and Northern Crew 6-0 on Sunday before finishing the weekend with a 7-1 victory over STM. The three wins placed Beadling champions of their bracket and now face Pittsburgh Football Club in a semi-final rematch from last year when the then U12 girls defeated PFC 6-0 on their way to the state championship. If the team can repeat their success from last year's semi, they will face the winner of the Stars United/Victory Express game. Good luck girls!!!

November 11 (Bethesda,MD) The Beadling U13 Girls continued their winning ways by making a statement at the Bethesda SC Thanksgiving Tournament. The PA West State Champs swept through the New York West State Champs (Region 1 #16 ranked), Syracuse FC 2-0 and then finished off the day by shutting out Region 1 #29 ranked Parkville Soccer Club from Baltimore, a member of the WAGS first division 1-0. Rain cancelled Sunday's games.

July2 (Virginia Beach, VA) The Beadling U12 Girls concluded a successful season by finishing undefeated in their bracket at the Region I US Youth Soccer Championships. Sadly the single win and two ties was not enough to advance to the semifinal bracket, but Coach Hawley was pleased with the team exceeding his goals for their inaugural season. The squad faced champions from NY East on Friday and drew to a 0-0 tie as several Beadling strikes flew either just wide or over the crossbar. Saturday's game saw an offensive showing as Beadling found the back of the net five times. Sunday's game would determine who moved on to the semifinals and though Beadling dominated the second half with shot after shot, a determined and skilled New Hampshire team who only needed a tie to move on, packed the box and resisted several Beadling challenges. U13 is only a short time away, and with the sweet taste of success fresh in their minds Coach Hawley and his PA West Champions will reload for another chapter in the storied history of Beadling soccer. Congratulations to all the girls, their supporting families, and coaches. We're all so proud of what you've accomplished and brought to the team. Each one of you is a champion both on and off the field.

June 8 (Turner Valley Soccer Complex) - Congratulations to the Beadling U12 Girls Team as they fought off a determined Washington Victory team for a 2-1 win and the PA West State title. It's off to regionals at the end of the month in Virginia Beach to represent Western Pennsylvania Soccer. The Beadling squad fought through the state tournament allowing only one goal over 5 games and tallying 14 scores. Best of luck to you in regionals coaches Hawley and Cafardi. We're so proud of you all.
